Mount Druid is an exquisite parkland situated in the picturesque village of Castletown Geoghegan, County Westmeath. Stretching over 100 acres, the purpose built tin chapel, boathouse, barn and the custom made accommodation nestle sympathetically into the landscape and offer the opportunity for a bespoke wedding to remember. In a country renowned for its rich agricultural heritage, Mount Druid is also a working, organic sheep farm. Marriage ceremonies can be carried out in the "unconsecrated" tin chapel, an intimate, alternative and quaint gathering space nestled among the pine trees on the site.
The tin chapel is perfect for either a simple blessing or a full ceremony. After your ceremony in the tin chapel, enjoy a leisurely stroll across the hill to the boathouse for your drinks reception with canapes. This is an inviting space, tastefully adorned with art and antique furniture. Guests are always comfortable due to the large, wood burning stove at the heart of the boathouse. The converted barn is a unique venue- custom designed for your wedding meal, whether you choose a relaxed bbq or a formal sit down meal and followed on with dancing the night away decorated in a gorgeous combination of vintage chic with antique and restored furniture, seating up to 200 guests.
